Northwest Folklife Festival – FREE
The 41st Annual Northwest Folklife Festival, at the Seattle Center over Memorial Day weekend (May 25-28, 2012), is a free folk music festival that features stage performances, street performances, a beer garden, handmade crafts, and more. The festival is famous for its flavorful organic food. And this year the event promises a few new activities:
Check out the brand new, Indie Roots at Center Square and listen to up-and-coming local musicians on the adjacent Indie Roots stage … Learn more in the Living Green Courtyard, where you can sample organic food and browse sustainable crafts. Or, take the kids to the Folklife Commons where they can build toy boats, learn about claymation and more.
