This month’s Fremont Art Walk artist is Lisa Strom. "Lisa Strom is an artist, illustrator, designer, crafter and daydreamer. She grew up in sunny California, and completed her higher education in the chilly nether regions of Western Michigan and Southern Ontario. After a few years back in California, she has now settled in the Emerald City. She spends her days painting, illustrating, photoshopping, drawing and enjoying a life of creativity."
Skillet In 2007, Chef Josh Henderson created Skillet Street Food in Seattle, one of the first food experiences of what has since become a prototype for the national street food movement that has swept the country. Out of a vintage Airstream trailer, he created innovative lunch menus based on American-inspired food prepared with classic technique and seasonal ingredients. The reception from Seattle’ites was immediate and passionate. They were drawn to the chef driven food, the excitement of being a part of a new, energetic, urban experience, and to the intimate involvement through the use of social media channels that intensified the connection with the Skillet brand.
Casey MacGill’s Blue 4 Trio Nat "King" Cole Trio meets the Mills Brothers. . Slim Galliard meets Fred Astaire. It is music of many decades and no decade in particular, all happening at the same time. At the core of this group’s sound are the band’s sometimes sweet, sometimes rough-hewn three-part harmony vocals and a piano-ukulele-bass-and-drums rhythm section that swings in a variety of textures.
