Why have thousands of dead seabirds washed ashore on Pacific Northwest beaches in recent years? Citizen scientists are pitching in to help solve the mystery. Join Julia Parrish, Ph.D., at the August Queen Anne Science Café to discuss how the Coastal Observation and Seabird Survey Team (COASST) brings together regular citizens and marine scientists to monitor seabird populations, prevent future die-offs, and inform larger research on topics like climate change.
