This meetup is actually being hosted by another group but one of our members suggested it and I thought you guys would like it as well. So here are the details:
So do you love to dance? Whether you are a pro or would like to learn the basics, this is a great event for you! Come dance with us for a great cause! No Partner? Don’t worry. We will rotate partners quickly and frequently to improve your leading and following skills with partners of varying degrees of experience. Come alone or bring friends. You will have a great time either way!
WHAT: Dance event including THREE lessons and THREE hours of open dance time benefiting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Take one lesson or a combination of lessons. Any lesson purchased includes FREE admission into the 6pm – 9pm dance afterwards!! Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the lesson you wish to take.
One Lesson – $15 per person including 6-9 pm open dance
Two Lessons- $20 per person including 6-9 pm open dance
Three Lessons- $30 per person including 6-9 pm open dance
WHERE: Jay’s Dance Experience (Above the Highland Ice Arena) A HUGE dance floor with lots of room to move!

TIME: 3 p.m to 9 p.m.
3 p.m. Night Club Two Step beginner lesson taught be Dave Serfling of the Rockin’ Horse Dance Barn in Renton-
This is the dance to do when a slow song is played and it’s probably one of the easiest dances you’ll ever learn! It is a romantic dance, consisting of triple-steps set to popular music. It enables couples to glide over the dance floor with simplicity and grace.
4 p.m. West Coast Swing beginner lesson taught by Terry West of Terry West Productions-
Modern Smooth Swing danced to mid-tempo Funky Pop, Blues, Motown, Country and more. Terry’s classes are fun and simple. It’s a given that you’ll be laughing while you are learning.
5 p.m. Salsa beginner lesson taught by Lynn Offutt of the Dance Workshop in Shoreline
Salsa is an expression of passion and spirit. Learn the basics of this sultry dance from a Latin dance specialist! Lynn will give you the confidence to understand the basics of Salsa’s steps, rhythm and timing.
6-9 p.m. DJ Terry West will play music for a variety of dancing. Practice the moves you just learned or break out the ones you already know! As long as you are having fun, you are doing it right! Open dance is free with any paid lesson or just $8 per person.
