| For 19 years JDRF and the Sheraton Seattle hotel have partnered on the most beloved Seattle Holiday tradition, The Gingerbread Village. Each year local architecture firms collaborate with the Sheraton Seattle culinary team to custom design, bake, and build awe-inspiring gingerbread displays.
100% of the donations raised at the Gingerbread Village go directly to JDRF. JDRF’s mission is to fund critically needed research for better treatments for people with diabetes and ultimately for a cure. One of the top rated non-profit organizations in the country, JDRF is proud that over 80% of its expenditures go right to its mission. Donations can be made at donation boxes near the displays in the Sheraton lobby, online and by texting JDRF5 to 20222 for a $5 donation. Voting for your favorite display has always been a highlight of the Gingerbread Village. New for this year is Text to Vote! Each Gingerbread Village Display has a unique code that can be found on the "Chefs and Architects" page of this site as well as on each Gingerbread Display sign in front of each display at the Sheraton. Only one vote per cell phone number per display will be counted. Multiple votes that come in for a display from the same number will be deleted. |

The Gingerbread Village will be on display at the Seattle Sheraton Hotel (1400 6th Avenue, Seattle, WA) as it has for the past 19 years! The exhibits will be open for viewing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from November 22nd, 2011 to January 1st, 2012.
